St. John & Halifax Shore Tours?

Hi, just perusing thru the excursion pages of my docs. Anyone have
suggestions on what shore tours are DO's and ones that are not worth the
time and money?

suggestions on what shore tours are DO's and ones that are not worth the
time and money?

In Halifax ... just rent a car for the day for about $50 ... and you can see
the Citadel, the Maritime Museum, the Casino and my favorite Alexander Keiths
Brewery ... A hop on hop off bus ticket would be a little cheaper ... but you'd
have to plan things better to see it all ...

A Peggy's Cove tour is also nice ..but IMO takes too long for too little ...

You can also rent a car in St. John ... but not a lot to see unless you have
the words from a guide telling you about the landmark you are looking at ...
If you can time a trip to the reversing falls to watch the river actually flow
back ... do that ... it is fascinating ...we were also lucky to watch a
kayaker vainly attempting to ride those rapids ...

In Halifax. Maratime Museum (thanx Ray) which has a deck chair and other
items from the Titanic.

Lunch at one of the places along the wharf.

If we went back, we want to take either a whale watching boat, or take a
sail around the harbor.

InSt John take the photography tour.... small van, great training on how
to take good pictures and a complete tour of the area.

I absolutely agree--the photo tour was superb.

Best thing about it... you were certain to actually STOP for photo ops,
unlike other tours where you're captive on a big coach and simply drive
past.
