I am a little nervous about priceline since I never used then before. The
idea
of "not knowing" what you are going to get, when you want to be near the
cruise
terminal make me nervous. The prices seem good.

I feel the same way. I like walking to the Terminal on cruise day. The only way
to guarantee you will be close is to just pick a close Hotel and book it.

If you don't need anything fancy, get a room at the Days Inn. Very close to
Canada Place pier at reasonable prices.

It was a toss up between the Days Inn and the Ramada Limited. With the prices
being about the same we picked Ramada for their full breakfast.

If this the Ramada on Pender (formerly the "Niagara, I think), you may
want to think again. A lot of older hotels in town we used to call
flop-houses have been spruced up to varying degrees and then marketed
under a nationally known brand name to hide their seedy pasts. This
is one of them, located on the verge of one of the seediest areas in
all of Canada, the Downtown Eastside.
A far far better option would be to end up at any of the priceline 4
stars mentioned, all of which are light years ahead of this property.
Downtown Vancouver is relatively compact, so you're never far from
either cruise ship terminal so this really isn't an important
consideration IMO. JOHN

I think I would still pick the Days Inn. But then I have rolling suitcase and
like to walk to the pier on cruise morning. Its also fun to watch the ships
leave the port the night before you sail with the easy walk from the Days Inn.
