I just received my June 2004 copy of Cruise Travel. I took Lee's suggestion
to write in about an article I found in question about travel insurance and
am quite shocked that they responded in the current issue.

No problem. I'll be up that way in October. ;-)

Bill, I wondered if they would publish your letter and am VERY disappointed
at the lame response you received. The insurance article was just flat wrong
and I don't buy the "explanation" to your letter. The writer is spinning
after you pointed out the errors.

Linda,
Yep I said on a post on CruiseCritic that I still didn't agree with his
response. Cruise Travel magazine is doing a disservice to its readers,
especially the novice cruisers who don't know any better.

Bill, I saw thee reply on Pg 14.
What, I tell my customers is that if they don't need the pre-existing condition
clause, then they should purchase it with final payment. It they need it, it
should be purchased within 14 days of purchasing the cruise.

Diane,
While I agree with you 100% this is in no way what the author of story was
inferring, at least not the way I read it.
While i nor anyone traveling with me this June had any pre existing
conditions, we did exactly as you tell your customers. We got the insurance
when we made final payments.
