Default Lake Balaton local transport

Hi,

I July I'll have the pleasure of spending ten days at a cottage near
Balatonfured. There will be me and my wife and our two kids (a 2 year
old and a 9 month old). We won't have a car.

How good is the public transport from Balatonfured to other places around
Lake Balaton? Would it be possible, for example, for us to go to Siofok
for the day, and return, by public transport?

Google brings up lots of info about Lake Balaton hotels, attractions,
activities, etc., but detailed information on local transport seem to be
hard to find.

TIA for any help.

K.

http://www.balatonihajozas.hu/bh/hajomenetrend_eng.html and the ferry
