Cruise restriction on hand carried luggage.
I have just been informed that on the cruise we'll be taking in a week,
the same restrictions on hand carried luggage as in airplane check-in also applies. That means no lotion or liquid in your hand carried bags. Now I may be a little logic impaired. But on an airplane you have no access to your checked-bags until you get off. On a cruise ship you'd have access to all your luggage once you get to the cabin. So what difference does it make whether your carry liquid in your checked bags or your hand-carried bags? Has any of your encountered similar restrictions for cruises? |

You might try posting your question on the rec.travel.cruise newsgroup or perhaps asking a supervisor on the cruise line or the captain of the ship after you get there. As far as I can tell, there is no logic in such a policy, but sometimes those sorts of policies are driven out of fear rather than logic. |
