2 weeks in europe

So a friend and I [ 20 years old college students] have two weeks in Europe, starting and ending London. We want to see a lot, not really looking to truly experience the cities, but get a feel for them. We were hoping to start in London and see Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Rome, Barcelona, Paris. Seven countries in two weeks? That's quite a bit too much. You'll end up seeing more, not less, if you cut down on travelling and limit yourself to two or three cities. -- Yves Bellefeuille |

About 2 day a piece. The way it looks, train will be the cheapest, but Prague is a bit out of the way, almost a must!!! Does anyone have suggestions. We are traveling last two weeks of May on a budget It's not 2 days apiece, since you will have to spend about 8 days on the train. Rome-Barcelona is a 24-hour trip. Prague-Rome is 20. Unless you have a late flight, I also forsee an overnight in London just to get to Heathrow in time. I agree with the general consensus that this is too rushed. However, if someone insisted on this schedule, flying could be quite cheap if booking in advance- and this particular itinerary doesn't lend itself so well to train- the exceptions being London to Paris, and maybe Paris to Amsterdam. -- (*) ... of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net (don't email yahoo address) usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk |

We are traveling last two weeks of May on a budget THANK YOU in Advance You are not accounting enough for travel logistics. At this pace you'll spend one day in each city and one day per city just travelling on the train. Pick 3 cities, like London, Amsterdam, and Paris - they're close. -- Dan Stephenson Photos, movies, panos from the Europe, USA, plus N.Z.: http://homepage.mac.com/stepheda (remove nospam from email address to reply via email) |
