Default cheap flights... Bangkok and Hong Kong?

Thailand is a great place to buy cheap air tickets. I used to live
there, for over a year. I found it to be a good base for traveling to
other countries, near and far. Now I'm in Europe, and I'll soon be
traveling to South Korea. Direct flights from here are astronomically
expensive. For the same or less I can go to Bangkok first, where I can
buy another ticket onward to Seoul. It would be great get in a visit
to Thailand, although I've also have been wanting to see Hong Kong.
How do air fares out of Hong Kong compare to those out of Bangkok? I
mean, can I find similar cheap fares leaving from Hong Kong as I can
from Bangkok?

Tickets from Europe to Seoul shouldn't be much more than tickets from
Europe to Bangkok. I certainly don't think that it would pay to fly to
Bangkok and then buy a round-trip to Seoul from there. Maybe you could
get a discounted flight to Seoul on Thai Airways or Cathay Pacific that
would allow you to stop over in Bangkok or Hong Kong, respectively.
Where in Europe are you?

If you want to see all three cities, you might get a better deal from a
consolidator specializing in multiple destination flights. They also
might be able to figure out a way for you to see the three cities
without having to backtrack or pay for expensive one-way tickets. Try
airtreks.com or trailfinders.co.uk.

I visited travel agents yesterday. Tickets from Paris to Seoul are
more than twice as expensive as tickets from Paris to Bangkok. In my
experience, round trip tickets are the cheapest way to fly, even with
unwanted backtracking.

If that's the case, then definitely buy your ticket in Bangkok. Bangkok to
Seoul with a stopover in HK. You should be able to get cheapr tickets in
Bangkok than HK.

Okay, I did that. airtreks.com has a decent price for my itinerary,
but it doesn't allow me to immediately buy it. Rather I have to submit
it to a "travel counselor", who will supposedly get back to me. As for
trailfinders.co.uk, the prices posted are more expensive than the
travel agents I've visited in Paris.

2.Other the travel agents in the U.K. cheapflights.co.uk or
statravel.com will have special fares.
3.Or take a flight to Shanghai with China Eastern 309 Pounds, then
hop into the Huo Che in Shanghai to go to Suifenghe and from there
into Vladivostok, then by Ferry to Pusan.
The train to Suifenghe costs you around 50 Bucks, the Vladivostok trip
is not more than 15 bucks, the Ferry around 70.
Enjoy
