Default For Howie: RTCs Closet Queen Of The Newsgroup - Howard Garland? Who said it?

Howie,

I'm sending you this public note to clear up an error in your memory of "who
posted what".
I'd like to see a retraction in the Howie Gazette. Page One.

You might want to make sure you accuse the right person of calling you
something, in this case a "closet queen" and a "snob" before you say something
such as :

"Ref, I remember it was you who called me a closet queen and a snob in the RTC
Awards..."
And you said you thought it was nasty. Whether it was or wan't, I don't know.
But I know I didn't say it. I repeat, I DID NOT SAY IT. I had nothing to do
with that post. Learn to target your anger more accurately, please. (I am
paraphrasing your comment because it would require serious time and effort to
go through AOL's recent RTC postings, which is what I would have to do, as
Google is not at all current on the Internet this weekend, whereas the "closet
queen" comment was found in Google archives of rec.travel.cruises in 2 seconds)

If you had taken the time to search prior RTC postings via Google (2 seconds) ,
you would at least see that it was impossible for that to be me. If you aren't
sure someone said something, then hold your tongue or ASK if it was them. I
remember asking you if you had called me a vile name, because I wasn't sure it
was me you were slamming. If I could have, I might have done my best De Niro
impression of "You Talkin' to Me?". RTC might be more fun with audio.

I use AOL for the Mac exclusively to read and post to newsgroups and I post
only to rec.travel.cruises. I always post only under the name RTCReferee. I
never ever do Windows and I have never used Forte Free Agent, though others on
this newsgroup do. Ahem.
I am one of the new kids on the block, though I am a fast study.

Anyway, kindly see the following:

I haven't read RTC thoroughly since "The Troubles" began. Just a half hour or
so total, and that was ENOUGH. I saw something fly by from Sunny, attributing
something recently said by someone where she addressed it "Ref, ", and quoted
something as if I wrote it, but that wasn't from me, either. Sigh...oh
well.

I hope everyone on RTC is enjoying similar weather and relaxation. It's a
beautiful day in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it will remain so for the rest
of the Memorial weekend.

Oh, and don't forget what Tom said about tomorrow. ;-)

As a recipient of a couple of awards myself I would like to point out a
couple things in Howard's defense.

First of all when people quote five previous messages when responding to one
it really does become difficult to determine who said what.

And the person who created the RTC Awards themselves was anonymous.

Just a thought.

Dick is correct. When A posts and quotes him/herself, then quotes reply
from B who quotes him/herself and then quotes C who quotes him/herself
and it goes on and on taking up whole page of poster quoting everyone a
nd his/her uncle It gets mind boggling who said what and why

SUNNY..........it beomes rather like an Abbot and Costello routine.
