Default Roadside grottos in Ireland

Following up to Padraig Breathnach

They usually seem to have three figures, Christ on the cross and
two women, one standing, one kneeling in adoration. I assume the
standing figure represents Mary, who is the kneeling figure?
Martha?

The other Mary. Magdalene.

Or the other Mary. His mother.

Depending on which Mary you assumed.

Errr, I think I was thinking Mary, his mother, standing. (I can
see i'm going to get rapidly out of my depth). So the kneeling
Mary is Mary Magdalene and the standing Mary, the Virgin Mary?
