Default Crown and Anchor Club in San Juan?

We took a Christmas Week 2000 S. Carib cruise on the Monarch of the Seas (it
was divine) out of San Juan. At that time, RCCL had a "club" a couple of
blocks from the pier where you could store your luggage, get a sandwich,
etc.

With the help of the inimitable Sue Whitfield, we are taking another S.
Carib cruise (10 days this time!!!) out of San Juan in May. Does RCCL still
maintain such a "club" in SJ?

Thanks!!

Kevin

Royal Caribbean opened a Crown & Anchor Club in Old San Juan at 257 Calle
San Justo. This comfortable rest stop is exclusively for Royal Caribbean
guests. You'll find clean restrooms, drinks and snacks for sale, AT&T
phones, storage lockers, and your friendly Royal Caribbean staff. Stop in
after your Shore Excursion, or any time during the ship's visit to San Juan.

I called the Crown & Anchor desk just last week asking about the lounges in SJ
and St Thomas. The one in SJ seems to be no more. She did tell me the one on
ST is still in operation.

Sorry about that! I had been in the San Juan venue a number of years back,
and without checking any further I Googled it and cut and pasted what I
found.

Just goes to show you can't believe everything you google.

In May we specifically checked up on both of these clubs to establish their
status. In San Juan, we found the club now to be a jewelry store. The one in
St Thomas is selling insurance. Sadly, they are no more!

Thanks Parn. Just goes to show ya how valid the cruiseline folks manning the
phone are. The C&A person even left the phone with me on hold to check and
then came back and said ST was still in operation. And people rely on what the
resagents say?
