Both Namibia (half the size of Alaska) and Mozambique (twice the size
of Califoirnia) are enormous countries and weather conditions vary
throughout both countries.

Which specific areas are you visiting?

Marc - Johannesburg

I guess i should have been more specific - I will be going to
Sossusvlei and Windhoek in Namibia and Bazaruto Archipelago in
Mazambique.

The weather in Bazaruto could be quite variable at this time of year.
The rain season is ending, but you might still geta few cloudy/rainy
days. Expect daytime temperatures to be around 25C to 30C and
nighttime temps of between 25C and 18C. Remember, Mozambique is
heading into winter, so days and nights will be getting colder. You
won't need more than a light jacket or jumper.

Windhoek will be chilly at night. Expect temps of 16C and lower.
Daytime temp will be between 18C and 25C. You will likely have rainy
days.

Sossusvlei conditions will be similar to Windhoek, with less chance of
rain.

Regards,
Marc

Sossusvlei can be warm (35 or more) in April, and at night between 16-20
(average). Windhoek lies on a plateau, so average around 25.

Enjoy your trip!

Corné.
