Default Club Med scam?

Club Med currently has an advertised special
"Experience 7 funfilled days and nights for the price of 3"

It sounds good and straightforward so I got the following
Quotation for October 7 on the internet. It doesn't seem quite
right.

-----
Buccaneer s Creek (Martinique)
For an amount : $3,090.00 (inc memb+insurance)
"7 Day Weekend - $910.00 4 days

COST TOTAL ALL-INCLUSIVE VACATION
FOR 2 ADULTS $2,180.00
---

Based on $910 for 4 free days for two people, the daily cost is $114
The cost for three days per person should be $342

The total cost including insurance and membership should be under
$1000 for two people, not $2180. One of their supervisors
explained to me that since prices vary from week to week, it's
"too complicated" to REALLY do it for each week so they use and
"average". Seems like a scam to me.

If the copy you quoted above is exactly what they said, it shouldn't legally
qualify as a scam. They never stated *which* three days that price is based
on. But it's a perfect example of why everyone should read all the fine
print and ask careful questions before booking (as you did).

Default Club Med scam?

Their ad clearly says seven days for the price three and gives a range
of dates for which it is available. They couldn't give me ANY week
for which this is true
