Cherry blossoms in DC

The cherry tree blossoms are around the end of their peak in my area. I am just
outside of DC (in the Maryland suburbs) and I there are plenty of cherry trees
in my neighborhood, including one in my front yard. It has been raining, but
the rain has been mostly drizzle without much wind, so the blossoms haven't
blown away yet. However, more rain and windy conditions are predicted for this
weekend, so don't count on the blossoms lasting much longer.

I was in Washington Thursday and Friday, the traffic was horrendous, the
weather was the worst I had ever seen and snow was predicted for
Sunday, I am glad to be back in North Carolina.

And the Cherry blossoms will be gone by the end of today; hight winds expected,
kiss them goodbye.
