It it possible to block posts from undesirable newsgroups?

We are awaiting the return of our JHVH in the flesh or his Son. His Son Yu'shua died on the cross for our sins, was resurrected and walked the earth for awhile then ascended unto Heaven. We await the Third Coming not the Second. Who will be the last Coalition soldier to be maimed in Iraq? Canadian troops out of Afghanistan and into Darfur.http://www.amnesty.ca/instantkarma/petition.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI-xlbDzVbQ I Like Big Bibles |

People do not post from newsgroups, but you can block a post that is cross posted to other newsgroups, either in general or listed by name. To do that, you need a newsreader with that capability. GNUS cam do that, but be warned - the manual is some 500 pages long and assumes you know how to use emacs and emacs's Lisp dialect, so there may be a bit of a learning curve. GNUS uses a scoring system for posts rather than kill files, so you can ding a post based on various criteria and only have it be completely dropped if it gets enough dings. You can set two seperate levals - one where the post is actually dropped and the other where it is treated as already read (useful if the criteria you are using are not 100% reliable). If you want, you can filter out posts from "Jeff" only when "Jeff" is responding to "John". |
