Can't answer that; it was just about deserted for most of
our trip, which was in late March early April that year. Not
leaf season, but still wonderful scenery in parts.




To the OP -- if it works with your plans, check this place on the Parkway:
http://www.pisgahinn.com/ It's not a B&B per se; the Park Service runs
it. The setting is magnificent; the food at the restaurant is great (at
least last time I was there), and the prices are reasonable. Reserve
early, though.
