Default American tosses pillows off most domestic flights

i just so happen to know that, british trans atlantic flights they do put
the dirty blankets in the hold, and clean ones taken out of the hold.
Assumming the A330 can hold 24 business class and 220 ecomony they would in
that flight carry 48 business and 440 economy blankets

but i noticed the american airlines comming over here, tell the cleaners to
refold the dirty ones. any that are missing they told to break the new ones
from the sealed bags so they all look the same.

i've seen it being done and just wondered why the american policies are just
to refold and the UK policy is to get new ones.

Next time you're on such a flight, pay attention to the way they collect
blankets after a flight and what sort of container they put in in.

Consider how much time it would take for a crew to fold 300 blankets

neatly.

Blankets are most likely taken out and "procecessed", and different
blankets brought in, pre-folded and looking "new". What that
"processed" really means is the question. Could be just some machine
that folds the blankets automatically with a bit of steam to press it
into shape, could be dry cleaning, could be a lot of things.

Is this ALL American carriers, or just AA or UA?

when i say american i mean the following airlines..... AA, US, CO &
Delta..... i've watched or been told that was the system.

Even the Business Class ones are refolded and reused, but rest be assured
the pillow cases are changed though. But saying this you should se the
state some of these are in, for a test we kept on seeing some similiar marks
on pillows and wondered how long a pillow was in service, so we ended
putting names on then and dated them.

As far as i know from friends, my pillow is still doing its round after 3
years. But i been told its comming to its sell by date now, cause they now
have to put 2 pillows together otherwise its too flat on its own.
