Dalmatian Coast (Croatia)

Hi folks,

I'd like your opinion: what's the liveliest town in the stretch of
Croatian coastline (and islands) stretching from Zadar to Dubrovnik?
With the possible exception of Split.

By "lively" I mean full of young locals & tourists and a reasonable
party scene. (But not necessarily an Adriatic mini-Ibiza.)

I should also note that I've got nothing against Western European baby
boomers and other assorted oldsters, but as few of them as possible
would be nice too. They tend to drive prices up.
