Default Wine in parks - London? England?

Do the authorities permit wine to be consumed in parks in London? In
England, in general?

Thanks for your help.

I meant to indicate that the wine would be consumed at a picnic--not
just wholesale guzzling. :-)

For the main "Royal Parks" in London see
http://www.royalparks.org.uk/regulations.cfm and look up picnics,
in short for small gatherings you are allowed alcohol provided it is not
sold and only consumed by persons over 18.
Preference is for plastic "glasses". I should imagine it is much the same
elsewhere in Britain, but you should consult whatever local council/borough
is in charge of the park and/or read any notices posted at park entrances.
There are alcohol free zones in parts, usually town centres to discourage
unruly behaviour and under-age drinking.

The main control on alcohol in Britain in general is a Designated Public
Place Order. These are applied for by local authorities and make it an
offence not to stop drinking in a public place, if required to do so by a
Police officer. The main purpose is to give the Police powers to control
anti-social drinkers and to confiscate alcohol from them. There will be
notices stating you are entering an alcohol control zone at the edges of the
area covered.

yes, just do it with decorum. Look out for places where yobs have
caused problems and theres an alcohol ban, there will be signs.
Usually its the town centre of a place where shell suits and baseball
caps are considered formal wear.

Or, of course, in the US as sweatsuits.

You have pump attendants? We have all do-it-yourself gasoline filling
stations.
