Default dog-sledding in Seward

I was happy to learn that Mitch Seavey won the Idinarod (sp?)this year.
When my wife and I did a cruise from Seward down to Vancouver in July of
2002, we stayed in Seward a couple of days. A highlight of our trip was
dogsledding with the Seavey family business. The previous year three
generations of the Seavey family remarkably finished the Idinarod. Their
tour includes an entertaining introduction to dogsledding, playing with the
pups, and a great raucous ride (on wheels of course) on forest trails. It
is a must-do if you are taking a cruise from Seward.

Default Seward is a Must

Thank you for bringing up Seward.

I assume you were posting this for hb ?

I always loved the day-cruise out of Seward.

I haven't traveled extensively, but while on a Kenai Fjords Cruises&Tours
boat one day, a commercial air-pilot was on-board. He was from Norway (or
someplace with a similar landscape). He said that he'd been all over the
world, but Seward was the most beautiful place he'd been because it has it
all --- wildlife in Kenai Fjords Nat'l Park, mountains, water, &
laciers ---- the best day-cruise in Alaska (trips daily with several
vendors available). I think it's better than SE AK.

The dog sledding is good option while there as well as the Alaska Sea-Life
Center ---- the northern-most marine biology research facility in the world
/ funded initially with Exxon / Valdez Oil Spill money. It's a neat place to
see ------ & only takes a couple of hours to go through.

A really nice B&B in Seward is -- keyword search: bay vista seward

Have fun! I'll planning to go back in August.
