Default Phoenix Sky Harbour. Passenger lounges??

Hi

In early June, my wife and I will have to spend nearly 4 hours in
Phoenix Sky Harbour airport waiting to catch our Delta flight to
Atlanta.

Our tickets would certainly allow us to spend the time in a passenger
lounge, but according to Delta's own website their Crown Room lounge
in Phoenix is listed as being "permanently closed, April 30, 2008",
although the Sky Harbour website lists the opening times for the
lounge - this may, of course, be out of date.

In view of the conflicting information does anyone know whether the
above lounge at Phoenix Sky harbour is now permanently closed and if
so, is there another lounge that Delta passengers can use?? - I can
find nothing definite on either the Delta or Phoenix airport websites.

Thanks in advance
KGB

In the Delta announcement that said they were closing a bunch of Crown Room
lounges, they also said they would be relying on SkyTeam partners to take up
some of the slack. You might call Delta and ask them if they have a partner
lounge in PHX.

As the other poster noted, the Sky Harbor airport has lots of choices for meals
and diversions. Although I haven't been through Terminal 3 lately, if it's
anything like Terminal 4, you shouldn't need an airline lounge.

Have you tried asking Delta about this? I am sure their club must have a
phone number phone number to call. I suspect someone forgot to change
the "hours" information after the club closed on April 30.

The only other lounges at Phoenix still around are US Airways' and
United's - both are in separate terminals from
Delta and it would be just about impossible to conveniently access either of
them. AA used to have a lounge, as did Continental, and TWA but those have
been gone for years now.

British Airways claim to have a lounge at Phoenix.
