You are likely to be in the majority for some time to come.

Making this the default option is simply not going to work. How is a family
expected to check in? The idea that they will all individually have RFID
enabled phones is just not going to happen.

Not sure that I qualify as a troll, though. I thought this chip-enabled
phone cum boarding pass was reasonably on-topic for a travel newsgroup.
And no ethnic groups were harmed in the process.

It's likely they're just going to target business travellers. This is
certainly the case with the current test at Nice. Maybe Ryanair will
even charge for it as it saves time.
