Default Telekom prepaid cards

Does anyone know if the prepaid German telephone cards - i.e. not SIM
cards for cellphones, but the ones for use in public phones - can be
used in other countries?

That's what I figured. A friend of mine bought one. I think you can
get a refund at the post office?
