Default Lancaster-Gettysburg-Shenandoah Park

As far as Harpers Ferry goes, it is a modestly upscale renewed town
with lots of charming B&B's. It is a pleasant place to have lunch or
dinner and spend an afternoon wandering through the shops. At least
that is what we do there.

Skyline Drive is just over 100 miles long and runs down the lenght of
the spine of the Shenandoah Mountains. I have been there 100s of times
over 30+ years. There are I don't know how many pullouts and
overlooks. There are also two major lodges, Skyland and Big Meadow. In
addion to the picnic grounds at the lodges, there is a very large and
nice one at the Pinnicles plus almost any overlook will do.

My wife and I perfer to stay at Big Meadow. We like their Great Room
better. Also there is entertainment on weekend evenings in the tap
rooms.

Getting back to Pittsburg would be pretty simple. When your reach I-64
you probably turn west to I-81 and then head north.

Hi,

I am planning a 6 days tourism trip from
Pittsburg-(Harrisburg)-Lancaster (Dutch country)-Gettysburg-Harpers
Ferry-Shenandoah Park (skyline drive).

I have to get back to Pittsburg in 6 days.

Are there more interesting places to see near this route?

How do I get back to Pittsburg from the south side of Shenandoah
NP(the shortest way, and with interesting options if possible)?

Thank you

Javier
