So how close was I to dying?
"Brian" wrote in message ... The Grammer Genious wrote: My brother watched a flight attendant sobbing and wailing "We're gonna die! We're gonna die" as other flight attendants strapped her into a seat and tried to make her shut up. (There was a fire in the cargo spaces, and some smoke was coming into the passenger area. They landed safely and nobody was hurt.) Must have been comforting to the passengers. Wonder what happened to her. I would expect she would have been offered a job on the ground or invited to leave. Sure it's a stressful situation and nobody knows how we will cope however it's the FA's job to remain calm under these sorts of circumstances so I doubt she was allowed to fly again. |

That actually sounds dangerous! Yes, I suppose it could well have been disastrous. But in this case fortunately it wasn't. Many of the passengers were absolutely terrified, and I remember my brother swearing that he would never, ever fly again. But that resolution lasted only some months, and since then he has been flying all over the world. \\P. Schultz |
