Cheap flights within Asia

We want to travel from Bangkok to Koh Samui in July. Any websites offering
discounted flights? Bangkok air want around 18,000 bt for 2 adults and 1
child - surely this is available for cheaper???

Sorry. Bangkok Air has a monopoply on that route. You might consider
adventuring with the always pleasant overnight sleeper train to Surat Thani,
thence to the Koh Samui ferry.

There ~is~ a promotion now through April 15 on the early morning and evening
flights. Inconvenient hours at 2000 one way.

Hi Viviane,

I checked the bangkokairways (http://www.bangkokair.com) website and
one adult round fare costs only 7330. That should cost less than
15,000 for 2 adults. This website
(http://khaosanroad.com/charlieconnection/air.htm) offers a roundtrip
fare for only 7,010 although I think they haven't added tax and other
surcharge.

You could of course also fly to Surat Thani and then take the ferry to
Koh Samui.The problem with this is that you need to travel about 1
hour from the airport to where the ferry is.

Another option is if you're not particular about going to bangkok, you
can fly to kuala lumpur (dont know if that's cheaper from where you
are right now) and then take Berjaya Air from KL to Koh Samui. Guess
how much that cost! about 600 baht! Really! Check their website he
