I would appreciate any weather information for Amsterdam for mid September.

More or less the same for London at that time of year: pleasant (60s
F), possibly some rain, possibly feeling a bit humid if it's warmer
than normal.

I was scheduled to go over on 12-Sept-01. My flight was, of course,
canceled and I did not make it. But I later looked up the weather. It
rained on something like 9 out of the 10 days I was to be there. So now I
go in June. Longer days and less rain.

May is usually drier than June in NL.

I'll take a little trade off to get the longest days. I really liked to be
able to eat dinner in a town many, many miles away, and know I had until
10:30, or later, to bike back.

It might very well rain 9 days out of 10 in June too, just that the
probability is slightly lower. But there are plenty of museums and
other indoor things to do anyway, if it rains.
