Default Airport Tipping

My mobility limitation has become so severe that, on my last trip, I
needed a wheelchair to take me from check-in to the departure gate at
the airport. At the gate I tipped the wheelchair attendant. My
traveling companion said that it was not necessary to tip her. I know
that I did not have to tip her but I'm wondering what the convention
is.

It depends on the Country in which you live or to which you are travelling.
I got a lot of assistance at LAX recently, arriving from LHR, and tipped the
wheelchair attendant US $20. On the return journey at LHR I tipped GBP £5. I
got the impression on both occasions that this was about the correct
expected level of remuneration

Where are you?

What am I saying!

You're pretty obviously in the USA because only people in the USA assume
that everybody else is within the USA.

In this day and age when lower paid people are hurting,
if you have the dough, tip to the max when the service has been
to your satifaction.

At ZRH I had the attendant walk away once and the other time she twice
refused any tip. "It's not necessary".

ORD I tipped 10 USD for transporting me all the way to the
Transportation Center, from the plane. Another time they delivered me
to the wrong spot, and I had a problem directing him to the proper
location (He didn't speak or read English(?) at a US airport). No tip.

I observed some cases of 'no tipping' at ORD.

PRG one time the attendant didn't wait for a tip, one other time 5 USD
and he seemed embarrassed accepting it.

We are taking one this January and the choices are too many! Could someone point us in the direction to start looking?

7 day to the Carribean
We are both around 50 with no children traveling. Want a quieter cruise with like age.
Room with at least 200 sq ft. with privare balcony.
For the 2 of us we want to spend about $4500 for everything.
Would prefer to leave from Ft. Lauderdale and not Miami
Want at least one casino
We rise early and go to bed early
Varied dining options

Don't care too much about port of calls.

Could you please suggest a line and particular ship.

Thanks!
