University of British Columbia researcher Somebody Frank wrote a paper
advancing his theory that there's a link between driving and obesity. This
will certainly lead to the demise of the suburbs and of driving.

Funny you should say that. (I think this is so obvious you're either
making it up, or someone had a *hell* of a grant writer.....)

Here's an editorial that just ran by yours truly in our local paper.

Are you saying the suburbs will disappear and we'll all be living in cities?

All American cities will be car-free in two decades, the suburbs will
disappear and people will move into cities, and communities will become
smaller.

Are you planning on living 10 people to a room ?

This is the only way in mhich people can move out of the
suburbs to cities and live in a smaller area.

Planners posting here in the past want to see the size of each dwelling
unit shrink to that of NYC, or no more than about 800 square feet, about the
size of a single-wide trailer.

Wow.

Wow alright, and I mean that seriously, or at least in a smart ass way.
Thanks to you, and my tendency to do so many things backwaards, I won't
need to take a breath and/or step back. The one drift I caught about this
thread is yours. I'll take your word for it. It might be a rainy Saturday
but I'm not that bored yet. LOL

I would suggest everyone on this thread to take a deep breath,
get some money together, and take some classes on facilities
management, or hotel courses or real estate or something. Maybe go
outside once in a while.
I don't know what's going on here, but all sides of this one is way
out there!

Haha. Thanks. All I know is, if your going to build a building, you
can either go up, or out. Each has it's own pluses and minuses, and I
guess in the end it's all personal preference. I always figured it
would be easier to maintain a vertical building than a complex. And
building up, by common sense and reality, doesn't mean you get less
space than a regular apartment complex. I dont' know where some of
these guys are finding these "rules" on things having to be 800sq ft
from.
