When was the last time you took a flight anywhere?

It has been some time. I hate to travel, and I've only traveled for
business
when absolutely necessary.

But you don't have any business.

You don't know what you're talking about.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

There's no squeeze function on the joystick.

Wrong joystick, moron!

Sometimes you almost forget that the English chap is a fairy.

That's OK. We never forget you're a drunken Finn with a potty mouth, or
paskapää as we say in English.

So it's not really a simulator then.

Oh yes, it's a simulator.

It's a piece of office machinery you play games on.

Nope. The software is legitimate simulation software, not just a game,
although it is sometimes marketed that way for broader appeal. This is
especially true with add-ons.

I do, but the business I have now requires no travel, fortunately. It was not
always so.

Not a real one. Unless there are planes out there where the sensory
experience is limited to a small computer screen and some burring noise
coming out of speakers.

This is
especially true with add-ons.

Whatever floats your boat!

You could make it a bit more realistic by dousing everyone in your
apartment building with aviation fuel, and then setting fire to them
in the event you make a mistake during the landing simulation.

Not a game? That's why it comes from Microsoft's game division. The only
one who doesn't know it's a game is you, you moron.

Stop being silly.

Real flight simulators are vast expensive machines that cost a fortune.

What you've got is a pocket calculator on steroids.

It comes from their game group. What do you mean "sometimes" marketed as
a game? When have you EVER seen it advertised to the airlines as a
simulator?

Following up to William Black

It's a piece of office machinery you play games on.

you cant really call MSFS a game as it doesnt meet the requirements of
being a game, some people like to be all snooty about it but it simulates
certain aspects pf flying rerasonably well, so it is a simulation. It would
be so even if less accurate than it is.
