Hi Everyone,

I received this press release from Star Cruises and thought it would
be of interest. You might notice the interesting comments about NCL
which is owned by Star. If you have missed any of my news' postings,
they are available on my web site.

STAR CRUISES SELLS SUPERSTAR CAPRICORN AS PART OF FLEET REJUVENATION
PLAN

Star Cruises, The Leading Cruise Line in Asia-Pacific today announced
the sale of SuperStar Capricorn to Viajes Iberojet, S.A. The sale is
part of a larger overall strategy which involves fleet rejuvenation
plans of the Star Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line ("NCL") fleet.

“This strategy has proven successful with the very encouraging
performance of NCL’s new ships and this is continuing with the recent
announcement of newbuildings for the NCL fleet”, said Mr.Chong Chee
Tut, Chief Operating Officer of Star Cruises.

“An integral part of this modernisation programme involves the
redeployment of ships within the group, from time to time, to
capitalize on growth and revenue opportunities in the various markets
in which we compete. As some of our Asian markets develop, and once
NCL’s new builds are being delivered into the North American market,
we wish to be in a position to transfer into Asia certain of the
mid-size NCL ships to replace selected ships in the Star Cruises
fleet. This requires us to be on the look-out for opportunities to
sell these identified Star ships as and when a potential buyer is
interested. This sale of SuperStar Capricorn is consistent with that
approach.”

At about 28,000 gross tonnes, SuperStar Capricorn entered service in
1973 and joined the Star Cruises fleet in 1997. She measures 206
metres in length and has a width of 25 metres with 430 passengers’
cabins. The sale of SuperStar Capricorn that has been offering cruises
from the port of Keelung, Taiwan can be seen as the beginning of the
Asian fleet rejuvenation plan.

ABOUT STAR CRUISES

Very interesting. Looks like the Wind, the Dream, and the Sea may be headed
West. After renovation to add huge Casinos of course. May be bad for my business
cause I am getting some negative feedback from Seniors about the Mega-Ships.
Many people really prefer the small and mid size ships and would rather do a
land package or tour rather a ship with 3000 other people.

I would assume this is a matter of mobility and with a lack of
mobility, and fragility closely associated, larger ships mean larger
distances and more folks to maneuver around and through. More folks
mean more possibilities for injury.

No doubt in my mind the cruise industry leaders (CCL, RCI in
particular) have, and will continue, to focus on the younger rather
than the older, a market with a much superior opportunity and
longevity to boot.

Actually I prefer smaller ships such as Celebrity's Horizon for the intamacy,
slightly more personal service and DR food quality. Agreed about size. If I
want to go to a mall I won't do it for vacation,. Navigator was amazing and
fun, but once was enough.

Well Ray, looking at my free AAA map it looks like it is possible to go far
enough West to eventually be in the East.... ;-)

Tom,

Pure speculation on my part but try this on for size:

Norwegian Crown takes over for Majesty. Norwegian Wind comes to New York.

Majesty and Sea go to Singapore.

I'm going to guess that Wind might be too long for Hamlton. Pre stretch
Dream did fit, but neither has gone there since the stretching.

Majesty only stays in St. Georges.
