Bit of trivia - the weather underground site was/is? the site of the
Univ. Michigan Meteorology Dept., used to be an ftp site
cirrus.umich.edu. In my limited experience with Cointreau it always
causes rainbows.......

Do you mean the www.wunderground site? It is usually pretty accurate.
And I'm confused - the rainbows were from the Cointreau, right?

The Weather
Underground forecast was for a few clouds and high of 19. Wrong. It was
snowing! We went into two stores, found one bottle of sherry that wasn't
very appealing - we were looking for Amontillado. So, bough a bottle of
Cointreau, one chocolate bar, and a bag of dried white beans. Had lunch,
went home. But the drive back was spectacular. As we came down into
France there were rainbows hovering in front of us for about a half
hour. Spectacular rainbows, so dense and colorful that it seemed you
could reach out and touch them. It made the whole trip worthwhile.

Yes, that was the site and you're right, they're usually pretty
accurate. Ahhh, yeah, maybe the rainbows were from the Cointreau. :-)
