Default camera memory size = minutes ?

Going on a trip and my new camera saves files in .MOV format. All memory
card charts I look at show gb = recording time. Like 4gb = 80 minutes at
640x480 of MPEG2 . Or 4mb using 6mb picture size will be 45 minutes worth
of MPEG2 recording.

What I can't find is " how many minutes ( mb) would that be in .MOV (mpeg4
?) format" ? I'd like to buy a few memory cards for camera and trying
to determine what I need for an hour of video.

I tried sandisk /pny / kingston .com - no luck
Anyone familiar with this - have pointer ?

Thanks

I didn't have it in manual but DID just find it in sales info for SD cards
at kodak.com
Thanks folks.

In case someone could use it:
http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...requestid=2433

I thought 15 vs 30fps would be a difference of 2x - not so:

Memory Card Capacity* by Image Resolution
Video Duration (min:sec)
QVGA VGA
15 fps 30 fps 15 fps 30 fps
1 GB 120:54 28:48 63:02 7:12
512 MB 60:17 14:28 31:57 3:39
256 MB 30:08 7:12 15:58 1:49
128 MB 15:04 3:35 7:59 :54
64 MB 7:32 1:46 3:59 :26
32 MB 3:46 :52 1:52 :13

QVGA = 320 × 240, VGA = 640 × 480, fps = Frames per second.

You need to check your camera's manual. There are probably several
video settings available to you on the camera, of various recording
quality. The memory card manufacture can only tell you how much will
fit in general terms, and an mb is an mb regardless of the manufacture,
so a SanDisk will store as much in mb as a PNY.

If you don't have the manual handy, you can probably find it online at
the camera manufacturer's site.
