Default Weather in Thailand

Hello
I'm planning to travel to Thailand in August.
I hear that this is the rainy season there.
Does it rain all day or just for a few hours.

Typically, cloud will build up during the afternoon and it would rain in

the
early evening for an hour or so (sometimes heavily) but the last few rainy
seasons have *not* been typical.
