Here's the page of warnings to French tourists going to the US, from the
Quai d'Orsay.

http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/con...311/index.html

Begins with: "Le renforcement de la menace terroriste ne doit pas faire
oublier que le risque principal reste lié à la criminalité."

"The reinforcement of the terrorist threat should not make anyone forget
that the main risk remains linked to crime."

Keeps up with warnings about police violence, increasing crime in several
big cities at night, and a =looooong= list of places to avoid. And a final
warning about the profileration of guns.

Thought you'd be interested.

If you are implying that our urban cesspools in BlueAmerica are just
as bad or worse than the European urban cesspools I would tend to
agree.

That is why I don't live there and only go there rarely when I have to
and during the day

# The gun lobby would claim it is not guns which kill people, it is people
which kill people.
To which the anti-gun lobby would reply: that having guns makes it
easier.
The intent of US Second Amendment is plain: it was universal access to
Arms for defence of the nation - not for mutual slaughter.
A US citizen could be obliged to prove he/she is part of a "well
regulated Militia", eg, the National Guard, in order to own a firearm, or be
denied.
"the right of the people to keep and bear Arms (for this purpose) shall
not be infringed."
The bracketed phrase above is implied in the original text.
Hence, if NOT for this purpose, denied.
All firearms should be registered, and anyone wanting to buy a gun
asked - "why do you want it?" and sign a statement accordingly.
However, the Rest of the World doesn't much care if Americans kill each
other. Tourists enter the USA at own risk.
