Absolutely golden advice. Expecting to be treated rudely in France is
likely to result in you being treated rudely!

More than that: expecting to be treated rudely may predispose you to
interpret other people's behaviour as rude.

Mr Pasqua has some real explaining to do. What fools some French must
be to give this guy power, he's corrupt domestically and appears to
have profited millions from kick-backs and vouchers from the butcher.

Charles Pasqua has sunk to political nothingness when he left Chirac's
party (UMP) to create his own nationalist, anti-european party.
He has always been a very controversial figure... Though he is
currently a senator he has not won an popular election for ages
(unlike MPs, senators are not elected directly by the people). He had
won his previous charge as a member of the European Parliament in an
election with a proportional system.
He is not more representative of French politics now than, say,
Patrick Buchanan is of American politics.

So does Mr. Bush. But neither of them represent the entire populations
of their respective countries.

Did the French vote for Bush??

Fox just airs an exclusive interview with this guy, he was asked about
some transfers and he gets up and walks out...

He couldn't have the journalists thrown out or arrested the way the U.S.
President can.
