SAS web site very poor
This is one of the worst airline sites I have ever visited.
It doesn't work at all with Opera 7.1 -FreeBSD which is admittedly not a ferociously popular combination, but almost many other airlines seem to be ale to work with it (e.g. AA, BA, AF, etc. etc.). Rather more surprising, it doesn't work well at all with MS IE 5 - W2000. I tried to send them a message to that effect, but I couldn't do that either... Bernard Higonnet |

It can't even validate with the official html validator at validator.w3.org And take a look at the contents of the http://www.scandinavian.net it doesn't even have the required DTD at the top, nor the HTML start and /HTML end tags. And it is flowed into a single very long line. By definition, this is not an HTML document. When a company makes special offers available only on the web, and their web site is non-standards compliant, shouldn't one be able to obtain that special by telephone ? |

At all, meaning you can't see anything at all? I'm using Opera 7.23, though on Windows, and it seems to be working fine with me. -- Mikko Peltoniemi Film & Video Editor, Avid Technician at large. http://editor.is.dreaming.org |

This is perhaps the most annoying airline website I have seen in quite some time. Just about every airline website allows to to enter your travel parameters right from the main page. This one makes you jump through multiple screens. Why even give the option for selecting between high-speed internet and dial-up? When you're trying to conduct commerce, web pages should always be low-bandwidth. But that's not the worst of it. Like you, the search results bombed for me. It just flat-out doesn't work. I'm using IE6.0 under Windows XP, and received the following message numerous times: "Error type -140004 has occurred. Please try again later." And believe it or not, the latest version of the site is actually an improvement over the version offered just a few months ago, which was its absolute nadir. -- Herbie J. Famous Curator |
