Default air canad: monopoly

What a refreshing thing to be in London or Duesseldorf and to benefit
from true competition in the air. When is Canada going to stop bailing
out its national airline and let competition reign with EasyJet-style
companies?

Once Canada has the population + vacation options of Europe (seven hundred
million people and 4 weeks plus, last time I checked.)

I understand that Westjet is taking away some business from Air Canada. I
haven't taken them yet but know of others who say that Westjet flights are
very pleasant.
