Lufthansa will cancel your flight if they don't like your politics
Well of course the body of the article makes it plain that this is a
false allegation. No airline will risk boarding passengers if the destination country is certain to refuse entry. The airline would be forced to fly them back again at the its' expense. Nothing at all to do with Lufthansa making a decision based on politics. |

Other than the "fine" for importing someone who is refused entry. (I've no idea whether Israel imposes such a fine on the carrier, but many countries do) tim |

(I've no idea whether Israel imposes such a fine on the carrier, but many countries do) tim In the final analysis it's the company that does the check-in that gets to be made liable for any consequential costs if a passenger is refused entry at destination. (I learnt this from personal experience, but the story is too complicated and OT to explain here right now.) All in all, the headline of the story is totally biased and has nothing to do with Lufthansa. It's telling that website is some kind of pro-Israeli outfit. It's kind of ironic that Israelis should castigate a German airline for kowtowing to Israeli immigration rules, don't you think? I'd better stop making any more comments at this point... |

They have to fly them back on the same plane, regardless, whether they have to bump another pax or put them in 1st class is their problem. |
