I'm just puzzled why you guys think that is unbearably hot; it was 35
here a couple of days ago and it's still officially winter :-)

The Australian desert has it's own flora and fauna. European man has been
imported and has not quite adapted himself to scorching climate. Therefore
skin cancer is more prevailing there than anywhere else in the world.
However, the disease is becoming more common among other white men too
because they want to go grilling themselves to more temperate countries -
like Australia.

Climate change is gonna have to be pretty bad before you get sunburn
riding on the Tube.

It occurred to me that there is a very good reason for transporting
cattle on the Underground. Hostages. By far the largest number of
terrorist attacks on trains (many more than all others put together)
have been anti-Muslim ones by Hindu fundamentalists. They wouldn't
dare shoot up or bomb a train half full of cows.

Here in Milan the notice before you board the escalator does not mention
dogs. It's umbrellas which must be carried (not common those days with
the heat). :-)

Well, "umbrella" does mean "shade", so to speak. But what about
parasols?

So exactly how many london underground trains have been attacked
by Hindu fundamentalists ?

Off hand I cant think of a single example.
