Default Africa trip, best January location?

I got changed plans for the Winter trip. I plan a January 2005 trip but
MUST decide before April 30. (Crappy SAS advertise about their BONUS
program - but DO NOT have bonus trips to Asia 1/2 year, Oct-March, so
now I'm in panic to replan.)

Now there is not much time for me to read all guides, but I have some
basic ideas of where to go.

Morocco is too rainy in January, and I already went twice to Egypt.

What about Ethiopia, Libya, Tunisia or possibly Lebanon or Jordan (OK,
not in Africa and a bit rainy). Maybe Zanzibar?

I enjoy nature and 'World Wonders' like the Pyramids and Luxor in Egypt,
just to give a hint of my interests.

In usually stay in comfortable 3-star hotels with TV, USD 20-30 level.

Any tips or recomendations for a guy in a bad lack of time to decide
where to go?

Any good Inet sites for this topic?

/Anders

Cape Town is a very good option in January. It will be hot, but no
rain. There's also plenty to do in Southern Africa at that time so a
trip to South Africa might be just the right answer. It's not the best
time to go to Kruger Park because of the heat and long grass, but
Southern or Northern Mozambique are fantastic at that time (just very
very hot).

If you're interested in "wonders" then a trip to "Great Zimbabwe" in
Zimbabwe, as well as Victoria Falls is awesome.

Regards,

Marc - Johannesburg
