NYC subway, New Orleans or Wash. DC?

New Orleans is a favorite destination of mine as I tend to gravitate towards
cities that have a pure culture and aesthetic (San Francisco also comes to
mind).

Stay away from bawdy Bourbon Street, but enjoy the wonderful traditions of
New Orleans like sipping hickory coffe at Cafe du Monde, listening to real
Dixieland Jazz at Preservation Hall, taking a ride aboard the historic St.
Charles Streetcar (named Desire) to Audobon Park and the mansions of the
beautiful Garden District, cruising aboard a steamboat up the Mississippi
River to the Antebellum plantation homes, and of course eating at some of
the best restaurants in the world. New Orleans is a city of indulgences.
