I have taken the Roissy Bus and enjoyed the voyage versus the train. Takes
about 30-40 minutes each way as I recall. Best part is it picks you up
right in front of the terminal and drops you off at the Opera, great if
you're staying in that area. Also no need to drag your luggage up and down
the stairs to the train.

Is this a new line ?

There doesn't seem to be maps on

??

Also is there any benefit/difference between taking the roissybus vs the

RER
from Charles de Gaulle to the centre of Paris. The bus seems a fraction
cheaper.

Finally I am looking for 10 unusal things to do in Paris - i.e. touristy
things, but having been there about 20 times before, not the usual

touristy
things - Any suggestions ?

This is possible? I would love to do that. Do you have any further
information?

Thanks,

I've just got back from Paris, having (this morning) noticed this new
line on a metro stations map with an accompanying notice pointing out
the benefits as it connects the national (Mitterand) library, which is
otherwise only on an RER line, via Gare de Lyon, les Halles and
Concorde to Madeleine.

Hi,

There are several tours organized within the metro system. One is a
night visit of the lines and stations, including the connecting lines
where no passengers are generally allowed. Some of these tours involve
the old "Sprague" trains that have been landmarks of the Paris metro
system for over 50 years. They start around 23h45 and end around 5 am,
in front a very good onion soup!

Regarding the dispatching center, some tours are organized for senior
citizen organizations. The best way to find information is to call
RATP, or write them, at:

Maison de la RATP
54, quai de la Rapée
75599 PARIS Cedex 12
Phone: +33 1 58 78 20 20
(French only - lundi a jeudi [mo to th] : 8 h 15-18 h 30 ; vendredi
[fr]: 8 h 15-18 h)

Cheers,

Yves
