I have been to all the capitals in Central America and was wondering
what a "general" description of Managua is like. I will be traveling
in early February.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sy

We saw nothing special there. Much better Leon, Granada, Bluefields,
etc.

Managua leaves a LOT to be desired, but its improved greatly since I started
going there in 1991. (especially the airport)

I agree with Aitor about León & Granada. (Both wonderful colonial cities)

FWIW, if you ever go there the week of Easter (aka. Semana Santa, Holy
Week), you might want to check out the beach at Poneloya... it's *the* place
to be in that part of the country (near León) during Holy Week.

Holy week is the week *before* Easter. I suppose there is ambiguity in
your phrase "the week *of* Easter", but most people would interpret that to
mean the week starting with Easter.

I see your point. I sometimes have trouble translating my thoughts to
type...

So let's try it this way: The week between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.

Carla, I like browsing in this newsgroup, picking up tidbits of information
for future trips and travelling vicariously; but you sound like a real
prick, Vaya con el diablo.

DEAR GREG, THE ASSHOLE:

You are a piece of ****, a WASP and a white trash. You are what we
call in Nicaragua a "SANDALISTA". A Sandalista whose armpits smell
like freaking onions, the feet smell like cheese and the asshole ,
never mind, that is the type of GRINGO you see in Nicaragua. You
stinky Gringo, if Managua, Nicaragua is a "dump" as you call it, why
the hell did you go there?
