Mr. Wizard, Step Aside: Celebrity Cruises Takes Kids On New 'Celebrity
Science Journeys'

MIAMI, Oct. 13
Children sailing with Celebrity Cruises now can tell their parents to
"bug off," and mean it. "Celebrity Science Journeys" allows parents to
escape to the pool or Celebrity's AquaSpa(SM) knowing that their
children are busy discovering insects, experimenting with sea life or
exploring the history of pirates.
Celebrity Science Journeys are a new component of the line's Family
Cruising Program, and will be offered daily on every ship beginning
November 27, 2003. The hands-on programs range from 30 minutes to one
hour, and are age-appropriate for children from three to 12 years.

"Celebrity Science Journeys encourage children to learn about science
and nature in an engaging environment, and are intended to initiate
conversation between child and parent," said Celebrity Cruises'
Director of Entertainment and Cruise Programs Michael Thomas.

The six Celebrity Science Journeys include:

* Buccaneer's Bounty traces the history of pirates, sunken
treasure and
excavation.
* Earthworks includes lessons about biomes, pollination and the
solar
system.
* Environmentation Station explores natural phenomena and
"man-made"
disasters.
* Get Buggy offers encounters with insects and arachnids, and
traces the
process of metamorphosis.
* Sounds of the Sea presents the opportunity to listen to
sea-life
communicate underwater, including dolphins and whales.
* Wacky Weather reviews everything from hurricanes to air
pressure,
tsunamis to thunder, and how weather patterns emerge and
change.

Celebrity's Family Cruising Program is led by trained youth
counselors. Program hours are 9 a.m.-12 noon; 2 p.m.- 5 p.m.; and 7
p.m.-10 p.m., whether in port or at sea.

Celebrity is the industry's highest rated premium cruise brand with a
taste of luxury. The cruise line has nine ships in its fleet, which is
the youngest of any major line. Celebrity sails in Alaska, Bermuda,
California, the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, the Mexican Riviera, the
Panama Canal and South America. For more information, call your travel
agent.
