Paris - 3 star restaurant & vegetarian?
Kathleen muttered....
Will any of the Michelin three star (or similar) restaurants in Paris prepare a meal suitable for a vegetarian (no meat, fish, poultry)? Kathleen, me love... If you're prepared to grease the chef's palm adequately, he'll kidnap a wee Dutchie, singe his whiskers, truss him in butchers twine, ja and apple in his mouth, slow roast him, basting in unsalted butter, bitter orange marmalade and ruby port, and then serve him up on a bed of arugula and carambola slices with a gladiola stuffed up his arse, nodding gently in the breeze from a team of Romanian saxophonists backed up by a theater Wurlitzer tootling Cole Porter, accompanied by side dishes of collards sauteed in truffle oil and baked Swedes (and if you'll pay enough, the Swedes will be suicidal students, not turnips). TMO The question which must be asked is a simple "Why wouldst a vegan waste the money required for and the pleasure derived from 3 star dining?" The desserts and salad courses could be appealing, however... |
