I've done it a few times in the past, but have no need to do so any
more. I keep my connection at home open, so anyone can use it. No one
has, probably because they all have their own, and it would be very hard
to get my signal from the street.

As these and other cases have shown, arrests for this kind of thing are
extremely rare, and as far as I know (in the US and UK) have involved
people hanging outside people's houses in their cars.

I wouldn't think about twice about using an "open" network now if there
was one, but I just don't have the need. I have a very cheap BT openzone
(and partners) subscription, and can get a signal almost anywhere I am.
I find "The Cloud" a bit **** though- at least with a BT openzone
account, it takes forever to get through- no matter where I try...
