Default Birds and Kenyan safaris

On a typical Kenyan safari, how well do the guides at the various lodges
know the birds? Is there much opportunity to stroll the grounds of the
lodges looking for birds?

Thanks.

Jeff,

in my experience most guides know the most important bird
species, but for the less well known species you need a
specialist.

There are some ornithologists around in Kenya, particularly in
the places where bird species abound, like in Baringo.

Hi
Standard guides do not know very much about birds (I find) if you are a keen birdwatcher you should travel with a specialised cie
