Hi Ray,

The local NCL manager here in the islands has said that the Pride of
America may not be ready until spring or summer of 2005 and that is a
stretch from earlier reports of the ship being back in operation by
October of this year. I think that is a reasonable period even if a
number of new fabrications have to be undertaken. Time will tell.

NCL could have lived without the bad press concerning a cruise on Norwegian
Crown out of Philadelphia.

Several people had gastrointestinal distress and there were complaints about
the smell of diesel fuel in many cabins.

An NCL spokesperson here in Philly wrote off the Norwalk-like problems as
something the PAX brought onboard, but a Google search ion Norwegian Crown
produced the following story from a month ago.

I have tracked Norwalk on the Crown since March 7th... a long time for
a ship to have this problem.

Here are links to the Royal Gazette from Bermuda concerning the 4/25
voyage of the Crown.

Looks like NCL needs to get it together.
