Default White-knuckled, red-eyed, cold sweats weekend trip planned:

Okay folks - here's the deal:

I plan on doing a weekend in Dublin next January. That would be:
Leaving Boston on Thurs night... leaving Dublin on Sun night. We plan
to sleep as little as possible and as cheaply as possible. Need to
know:

How is Isaac's Hotel?
What are your 5 favorite pubs in Dublin?
What would be the single best pub within a one-hour ride of Dublin?
What is the least-stereotypical place in Dublin that is, in your mind,
a must-see landmark? The newsstand where Whitey Bulger grabs his daily
paper, for instance...
What are, in your opinion, the coolest things you can do in a lost
weekend? Any winter sporting events?

Inquiring minds want to know! And don't be a wiseass. I know where you
park.
