7 DAYS NANJING ZHENJIANG YANGZHOU WUXI SUZHOU SHANGHAI TOUR
Shanghai-- A fishing-village-turned metropolis, Shanghai offers one of
the best examples where the east meets the west, the Chinese meets the
foreign, and the traditional meets the modern. The city equals many of
the world's metropolises in terms of the pace of life and the speed of
change. A Los Angeles Times report in Sept.2001 says that, attracted
by Shanghai's glitz, more than 300,000 Taiwanese, mostly
businesspeople, have settled down in the city in recent years.

Nanjing-- Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province. It is located on
the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, surrounded by mountains and
rivers. Nanjing served as the capital of China for six dynasties in
the acient time and during the rule of Kuomingtang,before 1949.

Yangzhou -- Yangzhou is a colorful city on the Grand Canal (Yunhe). In
the sixth century A.D., the city was China's capital as well as an
important literary and cultural center.

Zhenjiang -- Zhenjiang has a long-standing history and culture as well
as rich tourism resources. It has always enjoyed a laudatory title
"the first landscape in the world" and "the urban hill and forest".
There are many spots of beautiful scenery and ancient relics plus
tourist spots.

Wuxi --Lying by the beautiful Taihu Lake ,the city is one of most
popular destination for holiday makers in China.It is known for its
beautiful scenery,unique cuisine and folk arts and crafts.Clay
figurines made in this city are sold far and wide.

Suzhou -- Suzhou is a 2,500-year old city famous for its numerous
private gardens in the classic style, some dating 400 years or so to
the Ming Dynasty(1368---1644). Also a center of silk production, the
city makes a dazzling variety of silk products for home and overseas
consumption. Along with Shanghai to the east, Wuxi to the west and
Hangzhou to the south, Suzhou makes one of the fastest-growing areas
in China's economy and education.


Day 1. SHANGHAI to NANJING (D.)
Travel to Nanjing by air-conditioned bus or train.
Stay at Nanjing International Convention Centre or one in the same
class.

Day 2. NANJING to YANGZHOU (B. L. D.)
Visit Dr.Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the former Presidential Residence, the
Confucian Temple and Scenic Belt along the Qinhuai River, drive across
Yangtze River Bridge, then travel to Yangzhou.
Stay in Yangzhou Jinghua Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 3. YANGZHOU to ZHENJIANG (B. L. D.)
Visit the Slender West Lake, Daming Temple, Great Master Jianzhen
Memorial Hall, and then travel to Zhenjiang.
Stay in Zhenjiang Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 4. ZHENJIANG to WUXI (B. L. D.)
Visit Jinshan Hill and Jiaoshan Hill. Continue the visit to the Former
Residence of Pearl S. Buck, who had won the Nobel Prize of Literature,
then travel to Wuxi.
Stay in Wuxi Picuresque Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 5. WUXI to SUZHOU (B. L. D.)
Visit the Turtle-Head Islet, and then cruise on the Taihu Lake. (Or
visit the Three-Kingdom film-studio, followed by a cruise on the Lake
Tai aboard an imitative ancient boat.) then travel to Suzhou.
Stay at Suzhou China Garden Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 6. SUZHOU to SHANGHAI (B. L. D.)
Visit the Tiger Hill, on which stands a slanting tower; continue the
visit to the Chilly Hill Temple, Lingering Garden and the First Silk
Factory, and then travel to Shanghai.(via Zhouzhuang).
Stay at Shanghai Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 7. SHANGHAI (B. L.)
Visit the well-known Yuyuan Garden, the Bund-a show case of world
architecture, followed by the Pudong New Area, and then have a stroll
around the People's Square. The pleasant tour ends.


[Remark]:
1. Please make reservation for Spring Tour one week at least prior to
the departure!
2. Tour cost for Child (below 12): 90% and 75% of the normal cost
separately for occupying bed and no bed.
3. Tour cost fluctuates according to the season.
